Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use the Alignment Audit and sign up to my emails, why I collect it, and what your rights are.

Who I am

I'm Lauren Bell, and I run my coaching work (including The Rise Method and the Alignment Audit) as a sole trader in the UK. I'm the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me about your data at hello@laurenbell.uk.

What I collect

  • Your first name and email address, when you sign up to take the Alignment Audit.
  • Your consent to receive emails from me, and the date you gave it.
  • Basic email activity, such as whether an email was delivered or opened, which my email platform records automatically.

What I don't collect

Your answers to the Alignment Audit, including the check-in questions and anything you type into the free-text boxes, are processed in your own browser to calculate your results. They are not sent to me or stored anywhere. When you close or refresh the page, they're gone.

Why I use your information

  • To give you access to the Alignment Audit.
  • To send you emails about the Alignment Audit, The Rise Method and my coaching programmes, including Recalibrate & Rise.

My lawful basis for sending you emails is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who else handles your information

  • systeme.io hosts these pages, stores your name and email address, and sends my emails on my behalf.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on these pages. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.

I don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long I keep it

I keep your name and email address for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I'll stop emailing you straight away and delete your details within 12 months, unless I need to keep a record that you unsubscribed so I don't contact you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
  • ask me to correct it or delete it
  • withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, using the link at the bottom of every email
  • object to or ask me to restrict how I use your information

To use any of these rights, email me at the address above. I'll respond within one month.

Coaching, not therapy

The Alignment Audit is a coaching self-reflection tool. It isn't a diagnosis or a substitute for therapy or medical care, and signing up doesn't create a therapeutic relationship.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If I make significant changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
